Hi, I’m Jessica Matthews  the face behind Blessed By Jess ✨​

Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, I’m a licensed hairstylist and barber based in Denham Springs, Louisiana. I specialize in natural hair, including braids, locs, and precision haircuts.

​My passion for hair started at just 11 years old. I used to watch my Aunt Trisha (RIP) transform her clients, and from that moment, I knew this was my calling. Watching her attention to detail and creativity inspired me to become the hairstylist I am today.

​I later attended cosmetology school at Aveda Institute in Baton Rouge and graduated in 2016. Since then, I’ve been dedicated to growing my craft, my brand, and creating a luxury experience for every client who sits in my chair. 

In 2021, I launched my first product  a 3-in-1 Edge, Loc & Braid Control designed for long-lasting hold without flaking or buildup.

​My mission is simple: to provide every client with a professional, relaxing, and elevated experience. From the moment you sit down, my goal is to make you feel comfortable, confident, and truly cared for.
